Very interesting, specially some of the leaders in these open Source ERP companies are ex-Oracle guys. in my personal opinion it can work, but there is a saying that OPEN SOURCE IS FREE SO LONG AS YOUR TIME IS FREE. Because the support and upgrade paths of open source are at the mercy of open source community. hence a lot of your own valuable time gets spent diggin and fixing problems yourself.
Ubuntu flavour of Linux is very similar to Microsofts VISTA, but yet you will pay money to Microsoft to get VISTA if your time is precious, as they will gurantee long term support in temrs of fixes.

When I am creating recurring journals I have created distribution set also. When i have entered the required parameters and entered the distribution set name i am getting message the distribution set is invalid and the error code is APP-FND-01728. Please help me.

Is that from screen? If so, run the trace for that forms session and see the last executed SQL in trace file which raised the error.
