Factors effecting SQL Results in Oracle Apps

A starter to Oracle Apps might try to run the Oracle Apps SQL as is. However, the results of the SQL when run from SQLPlus can be different from the results seen when the same SQL is executed by Application. There are various factors that can influence the results of a SQL Statement when run within Oracle eBusiness Suite environment. The factors that potentially influence results of a SQL Statement are listed below :-* Profile options NLS LANG Settings Org_id/MOAC HRMS Security Profiles [Org/Position/Custom restrictions] Date-Track dependent SQL Row Level Security Please find a powerpoint presentation that explains how each of these can be simulated within your SQLPlus session. These steps will help you debug your SQL statements appropriately, by simulating the environment of Oracle Apps onto your SQLPlus Session.
